ENOREE- Edna Chumley Layton, 85, of 5031 Cross Anchor Road went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

She was born December 29, 1935, in Spartanburg County to the late Madison "Matt"Grover and Tressie Whitmire Chumley. She was the widow of C.H. Layton, and was first married to the late Hugh Oliver Layton. She was a member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee with Inman Mills.

Surviving is one son, Kerry (Marie) Layton of Evans, Georgia; two sisters, Gayle Bailey of Enoree and Polly Goodwin of Gaffney; 2 grandchildren, Lee (Brittany) and Corey (Taylor); 3 great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Wade and Navy.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Brad Starnes and Rev. Ryan Goodroe.

Visitation will immediately follow the service in the family life center.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice or any Christian Mission charity.
