Edward Ray Painter
WOODRUFF- Edward Ray Painter, 68, of 232 Angells Drive passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at his home.
He was born August 1, 1954, in Fort Jackson, Richland County in Columbia to the late Edward J. Painter and Ruth Gregory Angell. He retired from Charter Spectrum after 16 years and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Ray loved his family, and friends as well as his Harley, guitars, drums, music, and all types of UAV’s.
Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Pam Hollis of the home; one daughter, Lindsay Nobles of Panama City, Florida; stepson, Tyler Hollis of Moody, Alabama; sister, Pinckie Lanford Dardar (Barry) of Woodruff; brother, John Painter of Woodruff; 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by his chihuahua, Little Bit. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Margaret Ann Painter and one brother Joshua Painter, and a stepdaughter, Jessica Hollis.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Ray Mims.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. prior to the service.
