Frances W. Mahon
GRAY COURT- Frances Wilkie Mahon, 91, of 593 Nesbitt Mahon Road went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center in Laurens.
She was born May 5, 1931, in Laurens County to the late Archie Brantley and Lillie Mae Brown Wilkie. Mrs. Mahon was a retired kindergarten teacher with John Knox Presbyterian Church and Buncombe Street United Methodist Church and after her retirement worked at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community for 17 years. She was a member of Gray Court First Baptist Church and was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving is one son, James Marion Mahon (Daphne) of Rock Hill; two daughters, Sarah Mahon Alexander (Mark) of Gray Court and Anne Mahon Epperson (Robbie) of Gray Court; one sister, Lucille Wilkie Skinner (Rev. Jimmy) of Greer; one brother, Paul Benjamin Wilkie (Linda Faye) of Woodruff; 6 grandchildren, Robert, Alexandria, Erin, Lauren, Riley and Hanna Grace; one great-granddaughter, Zora Milo.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 429 North Main Street, Suite 3, Greenville, S.C. 29601.
