Freddie Charles “Tadpole” Durham, 79 of 219 Arnold Road went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 30, 2024, at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC. 

Born January 30, 1945, in Spartanburg County to the late William “Bill” and Dorothy Murphy Durham. He was retired Carpenter from Shaw Industries in Greenville, SC and a member of Woodruff Church of God. 

Tadpole loved Carp fishing anytime, anywhere. Most of the time you could find him at Joe’s Lake. 

Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Mary Arnold Durham of the home; his children, Allen (Tammy) Durham, Matthew Durham both of Woodruff; 5 grandchildren, Jared (Cheyenne) Durham, Shea Durham, Relynn Kepkey, Addison Bragg, Hudson Durham; 1 great-grandchild, Silas Durham. He has one surviving brother, Larry Durham of Anderson. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Frances Durham, brothers, Billy and Gary Durham, sisters, Debbie and Patricia. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2024, in the chapel of Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary with Rev. Jonathan Knight, Rev. Les Arnold and Rev. Steve Christopher officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary. 

Family members are at the home.
