WOODRUFF- Geraldine Forman Mobley, 93, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Brookstone Terrace.

  She was born January 8, 1928 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Charles and Estelle Smith Forman and was the widow of William Burts Mobley from 1948 until his death in 2012.  She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and was a former member of Morningside Baptist Church.  Mrs. Mobley was retired teaching visually handicapped students and also retired again after teaching in Saluda, SC.  She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Converse College.

  Surviving are one daughter, Louana Zippora Katz of Norfolk, Virginia; one son, Ed Mobley (Rita) of Woodruff; grandchildren, Shana Ross, Sura Katz, Esti Katz, Amy M. Dodds, Emily M. Roberts and Lisa Bogan; great-grandchildren, Micah Ross, Charlotte Roberts and Striker Dodds.

  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg by Rev. Jack Dodds.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388 or Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2153 Mt. Lebanon Road, Buffalo, S.C. 29321.
