Geraldine T. Stephens
WOODRUFF- Geraldine Taylor Stephens, 90, of 114A Shennandale Circle, Georgia Manor went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at her home.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter to the late Fred Laney and Myrtle Babb Taylor and was the widow of Wilbur Curtis Stephens. She was a faithful member of Cavins Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Mrs. Stephens was retired and she was a homemaker.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathy (Dannie) Gillespie of Woodruff; two sisters, Jean Morgan of Duncan and Betty Monroe of Greer; 2 grandchildren, Jason (Kerry) Gillespie and Kelly (Tony) Tam; 6 great-grandchildren, Colin Gillespie, Caitlin Gillespie, Abby Tam, Carter Tam, Amelia Gillespie and Everly Gillespie. She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Stephens Ellisor.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Chuck Pace and Rev. John Huckaby. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, 810 Maxwell Avenue, Greenwood, S.C. 29646.
Due to COVID 19 it is requested that masks and social distancing be practiced at the visitation and funeral service.
The family is at the home of Dannie and Kathy Gillespie, 525 Meadowbrook Avenue, Woodruff.
