Ginger M. Peace

WOODRUFF- Ginger McAbee Peace, 75, of 1621 West Georgia Road went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 27, 2024, at her home.

  She was born February 23, 1949, to the late Lewis Doc McAbee and Virginia Lambert McAbee and was the widow of Joe Gerald Peace who passed away October 10, 2019.  She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a retired administrative assistant with PBI.

  Surviving are two daughters, Rikki Peace Brown (Courtney) of Easley and Gerri Peace Benfield (Eric) of Easley; one son, Dock Joseph Peace (Rebecca) of Woodruff; two brothers, Buck McAbee of Woodruff, and Ronnie McAbee of Woodruff; 8 grandchildren, Jessica Gary (Bryson), Gunnar Brown (Katie), Hunter Peace, Hannah Joe Peace, Peyton Brown, Jenna Peace, Trey Taylor and Savannah Benfield; one great-grandchild, Harlow Gary.  She was predeceased by a brother, Steve McAbee.

  Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church by Rev. Fred Quidley.  Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

  Serving as pallbearers, Gunnar Brown, Courtney Brown, Trey Taylor, Eric Benfield, Tyler Watts, Bryson Gary, Clay Taylor, and Ethan Wright.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.

  The family is at the residence.
