ARCADIA- Grace Ann Mathis Denny,89, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 5, 2026.

  She was born July 5, 1936, in Polk County, North Carolina to the late Wayne Mathis and Stella Mathis.  She was a retired textile employee and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church in Spartanburg.

  Surviving is one daughter, Debra Edgins of Spartanburg; one son, Olin Lanford (Debbie) of Roebuck; one sister, Hattie Vaughn of Inman; one brother, James Mathis of Campobello; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Amelia Gail Edgins, one sister, Patsy Huntsinger and one brother, Zeb Mathis.

   A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Road, Spartanburg officiated by Rev. Gary Hensley.

  The family is at their respective homes.
