WOODRUFF- Hazel Gossett Smith,87, of 1245 Kilgore Bridge Road passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Woodruff Manor.

  She was born August 28, 1937, in Spartanburg County to the late Lloyd Gossett and Emma Jane Hughes Gossett.  She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and was a retired Cosmetologist. 

  Surviving is her daughter, Mitzi Smith Harper of the home; one granddaughter, Tori Nakima (Jason); two great-grandchildren, Colby and Lily Claire.  She was predeceased by her former husband Joe D. Smith; sisters, Juanita Pete Simmons, Ann Richards, Leola Grubbs, Myrtle Gossett and Carrie Jamison.

  A Celebration of Life Services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Gunne Davis, and her nephew, Mr. Jeff Simmons, Eulogy and her niece, Mrs. Brenda Fletcher, poem.

  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  The family is at the residence.
