Horace E. Jones
WOODRUFF- Horace Everette Jones,85, of 100 Eli Cox Road went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 4, 2026, at Regional Hospice Home.
He was born May 3, 1940, in Laurens County to the late Horace Wylie Jones and Etta Neal Jones. He was a retired Foreman with the City of Clinton and a former lineman with Asplundh Company. He was a lifetime member of Ware Shoals Brewerton Lodge #183 (Scottish Rite) and was former President of Woodruff Shrine Club. Horace was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.
Surviving is his wife, Ann Lanford Jones; one daughter, Dana Dickard (Scott) of Woodruff; one son, Dell Jones (Lorraine) of Fountain Inn; grandchildren, Taylor Jones Gough, Dustin DeShields (Nikki), David Jennings and Matthew Dickard (April); great-grandchildren, Konnor Grubbs, Keaton Powell, Knox Dickard and Birdie Dickard. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard Jones and Ronald Jones and also one grandchild, Danielle DeShields and a great -grandchild, Everly Dickard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Fred Quidley. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
