James “Hippie” Arnold

WOODRUFF- James Horace “Hippie” Arnold, 63, of 506 Westmoreland Road passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 at SMC Mary Black Campus.

He was born July 18, 1956 to the late Wade Arnold Jr. and Frances Lawson Arnold and was the widow of Phyllis Suttles Arnold. He was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith and was a retired employee with RJA Entertainment.

Surviving are two daughters, Michelle Morgan (David) of Woodruff and Kayla Arnold Roberts (Jason) of Tennessee; one son, James Michael "Mike Mike" Arnold of Michigan; one stepdaughter, Nancy Johnson (Kenneth) of Woodruff; two sisters, Kay Lancaster of Woodruff and Brenda Locklair of Woodruff; fiancé, Diane Steadman of Woodruff; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Linda Lancaster and a brother, Alvin Arnold.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Wilson Lancaster and Rev. Steve Christopher. Interment will follow in Cannon Memorial Park in Fountain Inn.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.

The family is at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Rev. Wilson Lancaster, 510 Westmoreland Road, Woodruff.
