Jim Clary
WOODRUFF- James Edgar “Jim” Clary, 83, of 44 Eli Cox Road went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 13, 2022, at St. Francis Downtown, Greenville.
He was born December 14, 1938, to the late James Albert and Martha Tuten Clary. He was a faithful servant at Antioch Baptist Church where he served his Lord in many capacities including Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and the Senior Ministry. Jim was a retired employee with General Electric Gas Turbine and served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed pastimes of hunting, fishing, gardening and beekeeping. He loved ministering to others with his wife Rose, cooking and delivering many meals to those in need.
Surviving is his wife, Rose Marie Lanford Clary of the home; one daughter, Donna Clary Williams (Darryl) of Greer; two brothers, Thomas Earl Clary of Almira, Washington and Richard Clary of Estill, S.C.; one granddaughter, Mikaela Claire Williams.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Danny Garrett and Rev. Jerry Taylor. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens with a committal by Rev. Heyward Calvert.
Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund, 13683 Hwy. 221, Enoree, S.C. 29335.
The family is at the residence.
