Jean W. Bonds

WOODRUFF- Jean Williams Bonds, 95, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Regional Hospice Home.

  She was born June 14, 1928, in Clinton to the late James Boyd Williams and Bruna Bridges Williams and was the widow of Collis H. Bonds.  Mrs. Bonds was a retired educator with District Four Schools where she taught English for many years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodruff.

  Surviving is one daughter, Joy Bonds of Greenville; three sons, David Bonds of Greenville, Steve Bonds of Jacksonville, Florida, and Richard (Shannon) Bonds of Woodruff; one sister, Ann Fowler of Easley; 5 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a son, James Michael Bonds.

  Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Woodruff by Rev. Andrew Shull.  A private interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.

  The family will be at their respective homes.
