Jean Sloan Hendrix

WOODRUFF- Jean Sloan Hendrix,77, of 728 Betsy Lane went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

  She was born May 5, 1949, in Spartanburg County to the late Ed Sloan and Alice Compton Sloan.  She was a member of Selma Baptist Church and was a retired employee with Enro Shirt Company formerly in Woodruff.

  Surviving is her husband, Waymon Douglas Hendrix of the home; two sons, Eric Douglas Hendrix (Gina) of Woodruff and Steven Todd Hendrix (Carlla) of Woodruff; one sister, Lynette Sloan Smith (Lowell) of Woodruff; 4 grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Baptist Church by Rev. Darren Smith and Rev. Fred Quidley.   Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Selma Baptist Church Building Fund, 850 Lawson Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388
