WOODRUFF- Frances Jenell Smith Gambrell,92, of 247 Eastbrook Drive went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 7, 2026, at her home.

  She was born October 6, 1933, in Woodruff to the late Franklin Dewey Smith and Etta Mae Reid Smith.  She was a member of Mills Mill Baptist Church now Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee with Reeves Bros. Mills Mill Plant and had worked at the former James-Willmot Clinic.

  Surviving is one daughter, Beth Chandarana of Beaufort; two sons, Steve (Ginger) Gambrell of Woodruff and Barry (Kim) Gambrell of Cross Hill; 4 grandchildren, Brad (Erin) Gambrell, Robert Gambrell, Amber (Jerry) James and Peyton Chandarana; 3 great-grandchildren, Mercedes Gamrell, Isabella Gambrell and Lyra James.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Lee Gambrell.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at West End Baptist Church, 1031 West Georgia Road, Woodruff, officiated by Rev. Rex Keaton.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice, 1312 Augusta Street, Greenville, S.C. 29605.

  The family is at their respective homes.
