Jerry C. Cooper
Woodruff – Jerry Cecil Cooper, 82, of 247 Poole Street Extension passed away on January 10, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born in Woodruff, South Carolina on April 25, 1939, to the late Ralph Austin and Clara Mae Knight Cooper. He graduated Woodruff High School and attended Forestry School following his service in the U.S Air Force. Jerry served as Deacon and Treasure for Woodruff First Baptist Church for many years and retired from Woodruff State Bank. He enjoyed woodworking, exploring the woods on his 4-wheeler, spending time and sharing hugs with family and feeding treats to the many family puppies.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Judy Cooper, his children Lori Taylor, Brett Cooper (Morgana), Cindy Robertson (Mark) and his grandchildren Ben Taylor, Megan Adkins (Caleb), Devin Cooper, Nicholas Robertson and Austin Cooper.
Jerry’s family would like to acknowledge the service, care and compassion provided by Agape Hospice Care.
No visitation will be held. Family will hold a private memorial service.
Family requests no visitors at the home.
