Jerry M. Harris

 

CROSS KEYS- Jerry Malone Harris, 76, formerly of the Cross Keys Community passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

  He was born January 27, 1945, in Jasper, Alabama to the late Frank and Vinia Benson Harris.  He was the retired owner and operator of Unlimited Construction and was the founder of Union County Home Builder’s Association.  He was a member of Cross Anchor Masonic Lodge #272 where he was past Master and was a Hejaz Shriner.  He was an avid Clemson fan and was a member of Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church.

  Surviving is his wife, Sharon Smith Harris; two daughters, Angela (Glenn) Powell of Oxford, North Carolina and Karen (Matt) Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Kim Harris of Union; 5 grandchildren, Serina, Josh, Nicole, Matthew and Grant; 4 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Aaden, Avery and Maverick.

  He was predeceased by a son, James Herbert “Jimmy” Harris and by 3 sisters and 7 brothers.

  Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Carrol Caldwell.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites by Cross Anchor Masonic Lodge #262.

  Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.  prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church, 843 Old Buncombe Road, Union, S.C. 29379.
