WOODRUFF- Jerry Dean Kennedy,84, of 227 Harold Smith Road went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

  He was born August 8, 1941, in Enoree to the late David Pinkney Kennedy and Willie Mae Leverette Kennedy.  He was of the Church of God faith.  He was a retired employee with Timken and was a former longtime employee with Inman Mills.

  Surviving is his wife, Nancy Cogdill Kennedy of the home; one daughter, Robin Kennedy Beck (Dale) of Gray Court; one son, Rev. Mark Kennedy (Tonya) of Simpsonville; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a grandson, Jonathan Blume.

  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel officiated by his son, Rev. Mark Kennedy.  Interment will follow at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service.
