Jerry Lane,81, of 538 Smith Road, Laurens passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

  He was born July 24, 1943, in Spartanburg County to the late Henry Lane and Lottie Esther Jackson Lane and was the widower of Carolyn Casey Lane who died September 10, 2022.  He was a retired employee with Jeffrey Manufacturing.

  Surviving is one daughter, Penny Cox of Clinton; one son, Chad (Megan) Lane of Laurens; one brother, Herbert Lane of Woodruff; two sisters, Margie Durham of Moore and Pricilla McMahan of Spartanburg;2 grandchildren, Jennifer Honeycutt (Brad) and McKenzie Lane; one great-granddaughter, Kylee Moody; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Mason Honeycutt.  He was predeceased by a sister, Bobbie Lane Mattison.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Carrol Caldwell.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  The family is at their respective homes.
