Jimmy O. Waddell Sr.

  Jimmy O’Neal Waddell Sr., 75, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 30, 2024, at Wake Forest Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.

  He was born December 27, 1948, in Woodruff to the late James Waddell and Ava Lou Whiteside Waddell Arnold.  He was retired and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

  Surviving is one son, Neal Waddell (Lisa), two daughters, Rhonda Dutton and Lisa Lowry; two sisters, Sheryl Childers and Trudy Skinner; one brother, Mike Arnold; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Mary Waddell, two sisters, Nola Hudson and Billie Kaye Waddell and one brother, John (Mickey) Waddell.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Michael Shirley.

  Visitation will immediately follow the service.
