Josephine B. Mitchell

WOODRUFF- Josephine Breazeale Mitchell, 97, of 407 Switzer-Greenpond Road died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Regional Hospice Home.

 A native of Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Jane Brown Breazeale and was the widow of William Ed Mitchell.  She was a member of Switzer First Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are daughters, Martha Lancaster of Woodruff, Doris Campbell and husband James of Cross Anchor, Janie Barker and husband Gary of Woodruff, Joyce Walden and husband Russell of Moore; sons, Joe Ed Mitchell and wife Roberta of Woodruff, Jerry Mitchell and wife Bonnie of Cross Anchor, Jimmy Mitchell and wife Patti of Woodruff; son-in-law, Lee Hardee of Woodruff; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Hardee and a grandson, Ricky Lancaster.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Switzer First Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. George McDowell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
