WOODRUFF- David Keith Frady passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

  He is survived by his two daughters, Nicole Frady “Nikki Lane” and Asheton Lea Frady Breland and husband, Nick, and his grandson, Cecil Breland.

  While he dedicated his strong worth ethic to asphalt in the footsteps of his late father, Rex M. Frady, his heart was in Nashville where he dreamt of singing his songs on a big stage.  Forever a mama’s boy, he never quite got over the loss of his mother, Betty Shealy Frady.  His struggles were known, but not as well as the stories that will live beyond his years, forever known as Woodruff, South Carolina’s wildest native, Keith Frady.  He paved much of the blacktop along these backroads, and you’ll see his family’s name etched into the concrete of the Route 50 truck stop.  Despite his transgressions, he was a firm believer in the Lord and was eager to meet his maker.  May he pave the streets of gold forever in Heaven.  We love you daddy!

  A brief memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary by Rev. Fred Quidley.

  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

  A Celebration of Keiths Life will immediately follow the memorial service at TAP 3, 102 South Main Street, Woodruff, all family friends are invited to attend.
