Kenneth “Red” Waddell
WOODRUFF- Clyde Kenneth “Red” Waddell, 62, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Pelham Medical Center.
He was born September 19, 1959 in Spartanburg County to the late Clyde Cola and Mamie Goodwin Waddell and was the widower of Debbie Smith Waddell. He was a member of the Woodruff Church of God, Bethel Masonic Lodge #112 and was a Hejaz Shriner. Kenneth was a retired truck driver for 30 years and was a part-time employee with the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary in Woodruff.
Surviving are two daughters, April Smith Hendrix (Arin) of Woodruff and Nikki Vickery (Jason) of Tarpon Springs, Florida; one son, Kenny Waddell of Woodruff; one sister, Susan Lyda (Curtis) of Woodruff; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas Blevins, Madison Cole and Conner Cole. He was predeceased by a sister, Debbie Hathcock and a brother, Eugene Cannon.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 24, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at the Woodruff Church of God by Rev. Jonathan Knight and Rev. James Shealy. Masonic Rites will follow the service rendered by Bethel Masonic Lodge #112 and a closing prayer by Rev. Jonathan Knight.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Woodruff Church of God, 6355 Highway 101, Woodruff.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children (In honor of Conner Cole) 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605 or Pulse Children’s Ministries C/O Woodruff Church of God, P.O. Box 275, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
The family is at the home of April and Arin Hendrix, 1415 Shaw Road, Woodruff.
