WOODRUFF- Kenneth Franklin “Kent” Thompson,82, of 551 North Main Street passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his home.

  He was born August 13, 1943, in Greenville County to the late Julian E. Thompson and Frances Fowler Thompson.  He was a retired Textile Service Engineer with Peyer Corporation.  He loved going to auctions, gardening, being outside and working on vehicles.

  Surviving is one son, Kenneth Franklin Thompson Jr. (Patricia) of Williamston; one sister, Linda T. Taylor (Don) of Laurens; two grandchildren, Joshua of Williamston and Pamela of Franklin, N.C.; great-grandchild, James of Hayesville, N.C.; nieces, Jennifer Madder (Paul), Jill Manning (Alan), Julie Phillips (Mat) and Tonya Jett (Milan);nephew, Gregg Thompson (Christy); sister-in-law, Kathy Thompson of Woodruff.  He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by a son, Todd Nakia Thompson and a brother, Larry J. Thompson.

  Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens by Rev. Carrol Caldwell.

  The family is at their respective homes.
