Larry C. Bishop

MOORE- Larry Cleveland Bishop, 84, of 211 North Hamlet Court went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

  He was born June 19, 1940, in the Glenn Springs Community of Spartanburg County to the late Roy Cleveland and Mary Wright Bishop.  He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was a retired machinist with Reeves. Bros.  Mr. Bishop was a 1958 graduate of Roebuck High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College.  He was a member of the American Softball Association for 28 years.

  Surviving is his wife, Judy Hembree Bishop of the home; one son, Kris Bishop (Shannon) of Moore; one brother, Wayne Bishop (Myrna) of Asheville; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Cassell (Wayne) of Easley and Annie Culbertson of Woodruff; one granddaughter, Sky Bishop of Charleston.

  Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel in Woodruff by Rev. Norman Band.  A private committal service will be held at Westwood Memorial Park.

  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
