Larry Morgan

WOODRUFF- Larry Gene Morgan, 77, of 1285 Old Switzer Road went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

  He was born September 14, 1946, in Spartanburg County to the late Joe and Antho Jones Morgan.  He was a retired textile employee with Hamrick Mill and a member of the Woodruff Church of God.  Larry was a member of Fountain Inn Bass Masters Fishing Club and the Senior Golf Club.

  Surviving is his wife, Debbie Henderson Morgan of the home; one daughter, Kim (Ronnie) McAbee of Woodruff; one son, Jeff (Renee) Morgan of Enoree; brother-in-law, Randy (Tracey) Henderson; nephew, Shaun Henderson (Sarah) and their children, Jude, Leo and Jack; 4 grandchildren, Josh (Sha) Ruppe, Michael Ruppe, Austin (Megan) Spurlin and Casey Morgan; 7 great-grandchildren, Katelyn Ruppe, Creed Ruppe, Axel Ruppe, Madelyn Spurlin, Colt Spurlin, Macy Spurlin and Skyleigh Ruppe.

  Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Woodruff Church of God by Rev. Jonathan Knight and Rev. James Shealy.  A private interment will be held on the family property with a committal by Rev. Jonathan Knight, Rev. James Shealy, and a closing prayer by Rev. Sergia Burgos.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

  Serving as pallbearers are Josh Ruppe, Austin Spurlin, Michael Ruppe, Ray Morgan, Shaun Henderson, and Scotty Vinson.

  Honorary Escort will be the Legacy Sunday School Class, Fountain Inn Bass Masters Fishing Club, and the Senior Golf Club.
