Les Caldwell
WOODRUFF- Niles Leslie “Les” Caldwell, Jr., 70, of 336 Meadowbrook Avenue went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his residence.
He was born May 27, 1951 to the late Niles Leslie Caldwell Sr. and Freddie Teague Caldwell. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Minister of Music and as Youth Minister. He formerly served as Deacon at Poplar Springs Baptist Church and Minister of Music at Bethany Baptist Church. Mr. Caldwell served the City of Woodruff as Mayor for 2 terms and was the Co-Founder of the Agape Care Center. He also served as Co-Owner of Cross Country Ford formerly in Woodruff.
Surviving are his loving wife, Karen Martin Caldwell of the home; one daughter, Kendra Caldwell Randolph (Michael) of Mooresboro, N.C.; one sister, Toni Narramore (David) of Seneca; two brothers, Robin Caldwell (Diane) of Inman and Jeff Caldwell (Judy) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Ryken Randolph, Molly Randolph, John Michael Randolph and Kayla Cullum; father-in-law, Ken Martin of Woodruff.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church by Rev. Doug Huntsinger, Rev. Manning Strickland, Mrs. Kendra Randolph, Mr. Robin Caldwell, and Mr. Jason McComb.
Visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
A private family interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Agape Care Center, 200 East Peachtree Street, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
The family is at the residence.
