WOODRUFF- Linda Mary Casey Godfrey,81, of 515 Meadowbrook Avenue went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at her residence.
She was born September 17, 1944, in Woodruff to the late Lucas Dewey Casey and Essie Lee Bailey Casey and was the widower of William Hamilton “Pop” Godfrey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodruff and the Winsome Sunday School Class. She was a retired employee with Leigh Fibers and had also worked for Jeffrey Mfg. formerly in Woodruff.
Surviving is one daughter, Tammi Davis (Phillip) of Woodruff; one son, William Anthony “Tony” Godfrey of Woodruff; one sister, Shelba Scott of Woodruff; two grandchildren, Kendell Blake Stinnett (Baylea) and Bailey Katherine Davis; two great-grandchildren, Micah Ashley Stinnett and Weston Blake Stinnett.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel officiated by Rev. Andrew Shull. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers, Blake Stinnett, Grant Miller, Phillip Davis, Christian Simmons and Shane Brown.
Honorary Escort will be Bill Scott, Allen Scott and Ronnie Henson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Winsome Sunday School Class C/O First Baptist Church of Woodruff, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388
