WOODRUFF- Lynn Newell Vaughn,80, loving wife of Ken Vaughn went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 26, 2025.  She loved everyone and freely gave to people.

  She was born June 13, 1944, in Winder, Georgia to the late John Paul Newell Jr. and Hallie Ruth Whitlow Vaughn.  She was a faithful member of Woodruff First Baptist Church, the Garden Ellas Club, Book Club and volunteered at the Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen.  Lynn formerly owned Sweet Caroline’s an antique and gift shop in Louisville, Georgia.

  In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Jeff Lewis (Kristen) of Lexington, North Carolina and Jason Lewis (Stephanie) of Rome, Georgia; one sister, Cheryl Davis (Cliff) of Birmingham, Alabama; one brother, Mike Newell (Kathie) of Columbia, South Carolina; grandchildren, Tyler Lewis of Brasstown, North Carolina, Jordan Lewis of Williamsburg, Virginia, Carter Lewis, Aaron Lewis, Henry Lewis and Macy Lewis all of Rome, Georgia; three stepsons, Dale Vaughn (Becky) of Brookville, Ohio and Jeff Vaughn (Nancy) of Roebuck, South Carolina and Randy Vaughn of Woodruff; stepdaughter, Ronda Benson (Chris) of Laurens; step-grandchildren, Maddie Benson, Cal Benson and Marley Benson all of Laurens, Hunter (Gracie) Vaughn of Spartanburg, Collin Vaughn (Denaee) of Vass, North Carolina, Megan Vaughn of Brookville, Ohio and Emily Keller (Dustin) of Brookville, Ohio.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Woodruff officiated by Rev. Andrew Shull. 

  A visitation will immediately follow the service in the church sanctuary.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Woodruff, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
