WOODRUFF- Mark Edward Fortner, 60, of 736 Harris Bridge Road went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

He was born November 15, 1961, in Spartanburg County to the late Jonas Edward and Bennie Gail Phillips Fortner. He was attending Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Fountain Inn and was a retired employee with BMW.

Surviving is his wife, Linda Anderson Fortner of the home; two daughters, Aimee West (Johnathan) of Duncan and Heather Qualls (Dillon) of Woodruff; one son, Josh Fortner (Leah) of Roebuck; two sisters, Lynn Bevill of Woodruff and Renee Smith of Woodruff. He was the fun Papa to three grandchildren, Kinsley West, Jaxon West, Emmaleigh Qualls and another expected arrival in March, Anderson Qualls.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 26, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary in Woodruff by Rev. Carey Caldwell and Rev. Alex Henderson. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens with Robin Bevill, Tracy Bevill, Raymond Smith Jr., Ian Boyter, Matthew Burke and Daniel Fenley serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 901 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
