WOODRUFF- Mary Hook Campbell, 73, of 151 Griffin Road passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

  She was born December 18, 1949, in Roland, North Carolina to the late Solomon and Eula Mae Hunt Campbell.  She was a retired hotel worker in Moorehead, North Carolina.

  Surviving is one daughter, Klara Hook of the home; step-daughter, Nita Cruz of Chicago, Illinois; one son, Tyson Hook of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters, her twin sister, Martha Childers of Woodruff, Frances Dennis of Gloucester, North Carolina, Joan Campbell of Newport, North Carolina and Tina Jones of Red Springs, North Carolina; brothers, Amons Campbell of Moorehead, North Carolina, Gilbert Campbell of Lumberton, North Carolina and Arthur Campbell of Swansboro, North Carolina; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a sister, Judy Willis and 3 brothers, Martin Luther Campbell, Robert Campbell and Solomon Jr. Campbell.

  A Service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Mr. Dennis Childers.
