Mary Louise Dillingham

Mary Louise Wardell Dillingham, 82, widow of Reverend Dr. Richard Dillingham, of 191 Chigger Waddel Road, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 20, 2024, at her home.
Born February 11, 1942, in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Edwin “Chigger” Wardell and Edna Louise Woodruff Wardell. She was a graduate of The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Winthrop University with a Masters of Education, was the Director of Kiddie College on Cedar Street in Rock Hill for 17 years, former Guidance Counselor at Monarch Elementary in Union and a member of Mauldin Church of God.
She along with her late husband served several churches including Pocomoke City, Maryland, North Augusta, South Carolina, Langely, South Carolina, Lake City South Carolina and Rock Hill, South Carolina (Garden Sanctuary).
Surviving is her daughter, Donna Dillingham Cody of the home; one son, Curwood Dillingham (Elizabeth) of Rock Hill; three granddaughters, Adrianna Cody, Briana Cody and Christen Cody. She was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Tommy Wardell.
A public graveside service will be held Monday, December 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Whisperwood, The Dillingham Family Cemetery located on the family property at 191 Chigger Waddel Road, Enoree by Rev. Daniel Cooper, Rev. Paul Moulds and Rev. Bobby Johnson.
Serving as pallbearers, Leon Criss, Allen Cody, Clint Letourneau, Casey Letourneau, Richard Nivens and Cameron Glenn.
Mrs. Dillingham will lie in state at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff, Monday December 23, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for family and friends to pay their respects.
