WOODRUFF- Mary Elizabeth Lee, 96, formerly of 203 Parsons Road went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Woodruff Manor.

  She was born June 15, 1928, in Spartanburg County to the late John Gary Lee Sr. and Annie Mae Rhodes Lee.  She was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee with Inman Mills.

  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family; surviving are three nieces, Kathy Green of Woodruff, Karen Woodward (Leonard) of Woodruff and Sue Lee of Woodruff; several great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by a special niece, Rhonda Elaine “Sissy” Lee.

  Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Green Pond Baptist Church by Rev. Dick Williams.  Interment will follow in the Darby Cemetery at Green Pond Baptist Church.

  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  Serving as pallbearers, Gary Lee, Kevin Lee, Cooper Lee, Noah Lee and Leonard Woodward.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Green Pond Baptist Church, 300 Chicken Foot Creek Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.

  The family is at the home of her niece, Sue Lee, 134 Parsons Road, Woodruff
