Maudine S. Orias

  Maudine Spell Orias, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

  She was born August 28, 1943, in Broxton, Georgia to the late Levi Warren Spell and Mollie Olevia Giles Spell.  She was preceded in death by her brother, J.W. Spell, her sister, Geneva Byrd, her sister, Liddy D. Juanita Spell and a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth.

  She was a retired orthodontic assistant and office manager. 

  Surviving are two sons, Joseph Neil Orias Jr. (Marla) of Laurens and Matthew Zane Orias Sr. (Lauren) of Woodruff; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Orias, Sarah Orias Neal (Brett), and Matthew Orias Jr. (Shelby); 6 great-grandchildren, Bryson, Brayden, Isaac, Ryder, Evelyn, and Gabriel.  

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel in Woodruff by Rev. Andrew Shull.  An interment will follow at Westview Memorial Park, 5740 Hwy. 76 West, Laurens.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Maudine S. Orias.
