WELLFORD- Maxie Diane Owings Sanders, 70 of 159 Lemuel Drive passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 at her home.

She was born March 30, 1950 in Spartanburg County to the late R.C. and Blanche Morgan Owings. She was a retired employee with MEMC and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Woodruff.

Surviving are two sons; Herman Hyman of Woodruff and Brian Godfrey of Inman; two sisters, Connie Vinson of Woodruff and Rita Owings of Woodruff; one brother; Eddie Owings of Woodruff; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Wilson, a daughter, Leslie Renee Wilson and a brother, Bobby Owings.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Steve Christopher. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

The family is at the home of her sister, Connie Vinson, 1405 Edwards Road, Woodruff.
