With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Monique Osswald LeCoq, who entered the arms of her Savior on July 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Monique was a woman whose life was defined by unconditional love, unwavering faith, quiet strength, and a servant’s heart. She never sought recognition for the countless ways she cared for others; she simply loved with her whole heart. Whether offering a comforting hug, preparing a meal, lending a helping hand, or praying for someone in need, Monique’s kindness left a lasting impression on everyone blessed enough to know her.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was the devoted and loving wife of Michael LeCoq; whose love story was built on faith, commitment, and devotion. Together they created a home filled with love and laughter while raising their children, Anthony and Anna, who were the greatest blessings of her life.

Monique leaves behind her devoted husband, Michael LeCoq; her beloved son, Anthony LeCoq; her loving mother, Marie Osswald; her sisters, Antoinette Osswald and Marina (Scottie) Johns; her sisters-in-law, Tammy (Chris) Dickinson and Patricia (Paul) Pinsonat; her cherished nephews and nieces, Danny (Kadie) Osswald, Chris (Brittany) Johns, Olivia Johns, Noah Johns, TJ Dickinson, and Hayden Dickinson; her treasured great-nieces, Jacelyn Osswald and Payton Dickinson; as well as many cousins, including Patrick Chapek, Erica Murray, and Kera Chapek, who held a special place in her heart and whom she loved as her own.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Anna Maureen LeCoq; her father, Wolfgang Osswald; her parents-in-law, Leslie and Nora LeCoq; her niece, Brooke Pinsonat; and her great-niece, Heidi Johns.

To know Monique was to know genuine compassion. She was the sister who was always there, the aunt who loved without limits, the friend who never let you walk through life’s hardships alone, and the woman whose faith remained steadfast through every trial she faced. Even in suffering, she trusted God’s plan, believing that His love would carry her through.

Although our hearts are broken beyond words, we celebrate a life beautifully lived—a life that reflected Christ’s love in countless quiet and meaningful ways. Her legacy will live on through every act of kindness she inspired, every life she touched, and every person who was blessed to call her wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend.

Today, we imagine Monique and Anna together once more—healthy, whole, laughing, and dancing together in Heaven. That image brings comfort to those who love them and reminds us that death does not have the final word.

Until we meet again, we will hold you in our hearts, cherish every memory, and strive to love others as selflessly as you loved us.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, July 18, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 290 East Main Street, Spartanburg, S.C.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
