Myra Lanford Jacks, 78, formerly of 511 Parkview Drive, Laurens passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at The Legacy at Hawthorne Park, Greenville.

She was born June 15, 1943, in Enoree, S.C. to the late Wade Jefferson and Geneva Fleming Lanford and was the widow of Russell Anthony Jacks. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Laurens. She was a retired accountant with GLEAMNS Human Resources Commission, Inc. for 30 years.

Surviving is one daughter, Amy Jacks Moody (Hayes) of Taylors; 2 grandchildren, Hayden Moody, and Haley Reese Moody; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Lanford of Greenville; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Marshall Jacks Sr., of Laurens. Mrs. Jacks is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Wade Edwin Lanford and John Carroll Lanford.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 13683 Highway 221, Enoree.

Visitation will immediately follow the graveside committal.

The family would like to thank all the staff at The Legacy at Hawthorne Park for their love and care for Mrs. Jacks over the last ten years and all the Hospice staff who cared for her the last two years.
