Nancy M. Bailey

WOODRUFF- Nancy Mitchell Bailey, age 79, of 8895 Hwy 221 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum.

 She was born in Augusta, Georgia on December 11, 1943, to the late Lawrence and Nina McDaniel Mitchell.

  Nancy was a retired Research Biologist with the Medical College of Georgia and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

  She is survived by her husband, Charles Bailey of the home; three daughters, Melanie Sprouse (Clay) of Grovetown, Georgia, Stephanie Reese (Chuck) of Woodruff, and Ashley Albert (Chris) of Pickens; one sister, Dianne Phillips of North Augusta; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford Gwinn Mortuary Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tyson Schoch.  Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Chase Sprouse, Ben Jones, Bradley Petrina, Aaron Patterson, Hunter Hixon and Mitchell Hixon.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 9480 Hwy 221, Woodruff, S.C. 29388
