WOODRUFF- Ollie Mae McGee Welborn, 95, of the Switzer Community went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

She was born August 30, 1925 to the late Amos and Ada Bradley McGee and was the wife of Joe L. Welborn for 73 years. Switzer First Baptist Church was her home church. Survivors include her sister, Hendell Huffstickler and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joy Lynn Welborn; sisters, Doris Burns and Hazel McCurry; a brother, Joseph Thomas McGee; and stepfather, Hugh Jeffeaux.

Mrs. Welborn was affectionately known as “Granny” to Roger and Nancy Snyder and their children: Ginna (Drew) Chappell and their children, Lilah and Amelia; LeeAnn (Marc) Toney and their children, Allie and Jacob; and Sara Beth Snyder. She was also “Granny” to Susan (Mike) Cromer and their children and grandchildren.

Graveside services (with social distancing and masks worn) will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Switzer First Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. George McDowell.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Switzer First Baptist Church, 1634 Old Switzer Road, Moore, S.C. 29369.
