Pastor Kenneth D. Nix
WOODRUFF- Pastor Kenneth Dean Nix,69, of 222 Oakview Farms Road went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 13, 2025, at South Georgia Health Systems, Brunswick, Georgia.
He was born September 7, 1956, in Greenville County to Henry Nix of Woodruff and the late Anne Shirley Smith Nix. He was currently the Pastor of Church of Covenant Blessings in Woodruff and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Kenneth would write a short love note to his loving wife, Julie every morning. Every single morning. He told her every day how beautiful she is and how lucky he was. He left it by her coffee cup with a piece of chocolate. Kenneth also loved fishing with his brother, David and he was so grateful to live beside his father, Henry and see him every day. Ken devoted his life to walking as a man of God. He gave of himself to his family in all things. Words of counsel, a helping hand, or just a listening ear. He gave joy and laughter to all that knew him and he never met a stranger.
Surviving is his wife, Julie Nix of the Home; four sons, Joshua Nix (Rebecca) of Spartanburg, Jeremy Nix (Rebecca) of Boiling Springs, Travis Nix (Pammy) of Woodruff and Nathaniel Nix (Kaitlyn) of Woodruff; two sisters, Myra Rayfield of Florida and Teresa Nix of Woodruff; two brothers, David Nix of Simpsonville and Mark Nix of Arizona; grandchildren, Madilynn, Lanah, Raeleigh, Harmony, Benjamin, Daniel and Elijah. He was predeceased by a brother, Steve Nix.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Church of Covenant Blessings, 11725 Hwy. 221, Woodruff officiated by Pastor David Nix.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
A committal service with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson
