Paula C. Owens

  On Sunday, July 14, 2024, Paula Casey Owens,79, passed away and went home to be with God and her family in Heaven.

  She was born August 6, 1944, in Berea, Ohio to the late Paul and Betty Rhodes Casey and was the widow of Truman “Mo” Owens of Walnut Grove.  She grew up in Marietta, Georgia and was a graduate of Osborne High School.  She attended Carson Newman College.  Paula loved planning weddings and did this for many years, that brought much joy to her life.   She was a proud 911 Dispatcher at Spartanburg County Communications.

  She is survived by one son, a daughter, Amy Bradley-Swanger and her husband, Adam Swanger of Chesnee; grandson, Paul Bradley and his wife, Summer Bradley of Chesnee; 2 great grandchildren, Kyle and Karmen Bradley, her brothers, Rodney Casey and Debbie of Valdosta, Georgia and Fred and Sue of Sun City, Arizona.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel in Woodruff by Chaplain Brian Bailey.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 248 E. John Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
