Raymond C. Morrow
DUNCAN- Raymond Cecil Morrow,77, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
He was born January 10, 1944 in Spartanburg County to the late William Morrow Jr. and Rosetta (Rose) Melton Morrow. He was a member of Lyman First Baptist Church, a retired plant operator with SJWD Water District and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Vrenda Bennefield Morrow of the home; two sons, Barry Lane Morrow Sr. (Tammy) of Duncan, their children, McKailley Smith, Barry Jr. and fiance’ (Karen Lewis), Kinsley and Bryce Morrow; great grandchildren, Luke and Aria Rose Morrow. Also his son, Brian Morrow (Cindi) of Marion, AR., their children, Andy McGee (Jennifer) of Fairhope, AL., great grandchildren, Finley, Evelyn, Lawson, Graham McGee, Brooke Rye (Jake) of Russelville, AR., their children, Merrit and John Henry Rye, two sisters, Linda Dale and fiance’, (Mike Lemire) of Duncan, Judy Gilbert (Johnny) of Lyman, sister-in-law, Julie Morrow of Portland, ME. He was predeceased by his brother and best friend Alton James Morrow and several nieces and nephews.
Raymond Morrow was a devoted, loyal husband and father. He cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a simple individual and spent so much of his time making memories with his grandchildren. His hobbies included gardening and cooking with his best friend and brother, Alton Morrow.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff by Rev. Jim Carey. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 14050 East Wade Hampton Blvd., Greer.
