William Richard Hughes
WOODRUFF- William Richard Hughes,71, of 111 Connie Drive passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Regional Hospice Home.
He was born March 13, 1953, in Spartanburg County to the late R.T. Hughes and Frances Smith Hughes. He was a retired maintenance employee with District 4 Schools and had served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Surviving are his sisters, Mary Lawing (Ronnie) of Cross Anchor, Rhonda Hughes of Woodruff, Tracy Knight of Woodruff, Joy Rice of Enoree, Sharon Hughes (Robert Browning) of Woodruff and Karen Romain (Steven) of Woodruff; one brother, Chuck Hughes (Margaret) of Inman; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Debbie Hughes.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Mrs. Mary Lawing and Mr. Ronnie Lawing. Interment will follow at Cross Anchor-Yarborough United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers, Mark Armfield, Sammy Jones, Tre Hughes, Jarome Romain, Joseph Fraley and Jesse Mims.
The family is at their respective homes.
