Robert William “Bill” Lanford

WOODRUFF- Robert William “Bill” Lanford, 85, of 524 Kelly Road went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home.

He was born November 27, 1935 in Spartanburg County to the late Eli Jefferson “EJ” Lanford and Essie Turner Lanford Sims. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, a retired estimator with State Farm Insurance and was a member of Bethel Masonic Lodge #112.

Surviving are his loving wife, Martha Jean Long Lanford of the home; two daughters, Billie Jean Rogers of Moore and Lauri (Alan) Bradley of Woodruff; two sons, Mike (Deborah) Lanford of Buffalo and Tracy (Mary) Lanford of Woodruff; ten grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Woodruff by Rev. Andrew Shull.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodruff/Over and Beyond Fund, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388 or Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
