WOODRUFF- Robert Kenneth “Ken” Morrison, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Rosecrest in Inman, he was the husband of the late Gennieve Kernells Morrison who passed away February 7, 2022.

  Ken, son of the late Jabos R. and Eva Poore Morrison, was born December 24, 1937, in Spartanburg County.  He was a faithful member of Woodruff First Baptist Church, where he spent numerous years as an usher and deacon.  After his retirement from Union Camp Corporation where he spent the majority of his career, he worked part-time at the former Woodruff Hardware for a few years, where he enjoyed socializing with his customers.  Ken was also a member of Bethel Masonic Lodge #112 and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was a gifted woodworker and delighted in making toys for his beloved grandchildren, who were his heart.  

  Ken is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chris Benfield of Boiling Springs, S.C.; two grandchildren, Madison Benfield of Rock Hill, S.C. and Matthew Benfield of the home; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Ronnie Morrison and Richard Morrison, a sister, Jean Morrison Brown, and two infant children.

  Graveside services will be conducted Friday, July 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens by Rev. Andrew Shull and Masonic Rites rendered by Bethel Masonic Lodge #112.  The family will visit friends immediately following the service.

  Ken’ family expresses special thanks to the staff of TerraBella Senior Living and Rosecrest for their excellent care given to him.

  The family will be at Mr. Morrison’s home between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022, for friends to visit.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388
