R.V. Theo
WOODRUFF- Robert Vandiver “R.V.” Theo also known to many as “Punk” of 1917 East Georgia Road passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
He was born May 28, 1936, in Spartanburg County to the late Mike and Nora Lee Betsill Theo. He was Owner and Operator of R.V. Theo Used Auto Parts. R.V. was a member of Cavins Masonic Lodge #226 and had served in the U.S. Army National Guard. R.V. was a Hejaz Shriner, devoting a lot of his time in helping raise funds for the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Greenville and gave monetary gifts to benefit the children.
Surviving is his wife, Betty Farmer Theo; two daughters, Frankie Theo Gilbert (Cly) of Chesnee and Jonnie Theo Casebeer (Rick) of Woodruff; stepdaughter, Patricia “Bootsie” Turner (Duane) of Boiling Springs; 5 grandchildren, Jared Lanford (Kayla), Miranda Gilbert, Dalton Theo (Ashley), Lora Godfrey (Bill) and Ivey Turner Martin; 8 great-grandchildren, Banx Lanford, Lennox Martin, Noah Theo, Alayna Theo, Maddison Martin, Morgan Parker, Gage Martin and Graham Martin; two great-great-grandchildren, Emersyn Martin and Corbin Martin. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Erika Gilbert.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Mr. Cly Gilbert. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites rendered by Cavins Masonic Lodge #226.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of R.V. Theo to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.
The family is at their respective homes.
