WOODRUFF- Ronnie Colie Lawson, 73, of 36 Eli Cox Road passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

  A native of Woodruff, he was the son of the late Eugene and Frances Scott Lawson. 

  Surviving is his wife, Helen Ruth Morris Frey Lawson of the home; stepdaughter, Kay (Terry) Leake of Woodruff; stepson, Doug Frey of Kinards; one sister, Vickie (Melton) Lawson of Woodruff; one brother, Phil Lawson of Union.  He is also survived by a special niece, Tina Wofford of Cross Anchor and many other nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by two sisters, Bobbie Joyce Wofford Brock and her husband, Eugene Brock and Betty Jean Fullbright and her husband, Sam Fullbright and a sister-in-law, Ann Lawson along with two step-grandchildren.

  Ronnie had no children of his own.  He loved all his family and his little dog, Gizmo.  He spent most of his life doing odd jobs and cutting grass.

  Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Carrol Caldwell, Rev. Danny Garrett and Rev. Fred Quidley.  A cremation will follow the service.

  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.

  The family is at the home of his great-niece, Jayia Young, 420 East Georgia Street, Woodruff.
