SSGT Marion Finley

  SSGT Marion Finley, 89, of Woodruff, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the home of his daughter in Rutherfordton, NC.

  He was born May 29, 1935, in Fairplay, SC to the late Jim and Mary Ruth Allen Finley.  Marion was a member of Bellview Baptist Church.  He was a proud Retired Airforce Sargeant, earning 20 years of honorable service.  He also retired from Mitsubishi Film as a security guard.

  Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Ann Masters (David) of Dacusville, SC and Susan Gregory (Shane) of Rutherfordton, NC; three grandchildren, Ryan Masters (Shannon), Zachary Masters (Stefanie) and Emma Gregory; one great-grandson, Isaac Masters.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn Smith Finley; one sister, four brothers and a daughter, Wilma Lee Finley.

  Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Carey Caldwell.  Interment with full military honors will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC

  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
