Shawn Edward Cape,56, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born August 5, 1968, in Spartanburg County to the late James Edward Cape and Annette Moore Cape. He was a member of Selma Baptist Church.

Surviving is one sister, Missy Yates (Ricky) of Woodruff; nephew, Blake Taylor of Gaffney; great-niece, Lexie Mitchell.

A private graveside service will be held at Selma Baptist Church Cemetery.
