Stan Maddox
WOODRUFF- John Stanton “Stan” Maddox, of 519 Eva Lane went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
He was born November 5, 1952, in Spartanburg County to the late Joseph Kenneth Maddox and Gwendolyn Cheek Maddox. He was a member of Cavins Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. Stan was a retired Lieutenant with the City of Spartanburg Police Department and retired from the U.S. Marshall Service.
Surviving is his wife, Beverly Mitchem Maddox of the home; one son, Mitch Maddox (Barbie) of Pauline; one brother, Joe Maddox (Keysie) of Spartanburg; one grandson, Will Maddox (Mikayla); three step grandchildren, Tori George, Faith George and Harley Henderson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel officiated by Rev. Fred Quidley, Rev. Carrol Caldwell and Rev. Chuck Pace.
Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. prior to the service.
A cremation will follow the service.
